Sky bills your credit/debit card directly on a monthly basis for 12 months in conjunction with your Sky TV Subscription 12 month contract terms.
Billing commences on the date you activate your Sky TV Subscription. The normal validity of a Sky Viewing Card is 12 months and is automatically renewed as long as you keep up your monthly payments.
Renewal of your Sky TV Subscription validates the card’s continuity on your subscription, so the same card can be used as long as you stay subscribed.
Should you choose to discontinue your Sky TV Subscription after 12 monthly payments to BSkyB or anytime later, your card will still continue to function as a free to air channel viewing card.
All Sky Viewing Cards issued by us are genuine and come with our repair or replace guarantee. When Sky changes viewing cards for updating their system, we receive the new cards well in advance and send your new replacement card to you before such changes are performed by Sky. This avoids down-time inconvenience and assures you that your viewing pleasure remains uninterrupted at all times.
Once you receive your Sky Viewing Card, please phone us to activate your Sky TV Subscription on your new card or log into your Skytvcard Account to request activation. Your Skybox must be on with the green light visible for activation to succeed. If you are replacing an expired card with a new one from us, please inform us at Checkout which Sky TV Subscription Pack you already have and we will activate it on your new card. You can also newly subscribe for a Basic TV Subscription Pack at checkout by adding the selected TV Packs to your purchase. This will notify us of your selection and we will activate your new subscription after you inform us you have received your card.
NOTE: You can activate a new Sky Subscription TV Pack through your customer area or by phoning us. You can swap your Basic Sky Subscription TV Pack for a different one and also add or remove optional TV Packs anytime by just phoning us or by logging into your Skytvcard Account to update the changes.
